Margay was an extremely bright child. She wanted to be a fighter pilot and more importantly she wanted to be a Blue Angel.
Five weeks into her 8th grade year, she was riding home on her school bus, they were stopped at a stop, getting ready to let some kids off when a distracted semi-truck driver who was engrossed in a conversation on his cellphone ran into the back of Margay’s bus at approximately 60 miles an hour.
The bus was on fire and I knew that something was terribly wrong. She was indeed on the bottom of that bus.
If they are tempted to talk or text on their phone, to think of Margay laying on the bottom of that school bus.
“The solution is readily available. It’s on your phone. It’s called ‘O-F-F.'”
